Walk a block to an extensive river trail network and 100,000 acres of public BLM land on the east side of the river with hundreds of miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. Walk to three brand new boulders in South Main with your chalk bag and climbing shoes. Walk to the river with your kayak and surf the world-class waves of the Buena Vista river park. Grab your mountain bike (or rent one at The Trailhead) and hit miles of single track trails right out your door. Grab your road bike and climb Cottonwood or Independence Pass. Walk to the Rock Run Gallery and check out their fine art on display. Walk to the Eddyline Restaurant and Brewery and try a microbrew and wood-fired pizza. Walk to historic downtown Buena Vista and check out the shops and restaurants. Frisbee in the South Main Town Square, a game of chess at the Outdoor Living Room, a game of horseshoes, a gathering round the firepit overlooking the river.
